| The beach, with its fine sand and a sun who accompany it from dawn until sunset, is surely one of the main attractions that the town keep for its guests. The coast, between the Conca river and Rio Alberello, is 3 km long. This is a short tract, yet many people use it for healthy walks in the morning. A lot of beach umbrellas, multicolor deckchairs and modern services (rescue, emergency and first aid station, publiphono, toilets and custody of the sandy beach,ecc) grant aresting and safe bathing.
Thanks to the organizational structures on ground and to the qualità of the bathing water, the beach and the harbour of Misano Adriatico were decorated several times of the “blue flag” prize by the International Committee and Ambiental Direction of the European Union Committee. This prize crowns several years of care and coherence of the ambiental politics. Recently some interventions were put into effect for the increase and the improvement of the plants of gathering and depuration of the reflown waters. They let the elimination of the discharge of the black waters in the sea, not only from Misano, but also from the other communes, which earlier flowed in the Conca River. Now, thanks to some dedicated conducts, they can convey the waters into the purifiers of the two coast towns: Misano and Cattolica.
There are other particular and interesting places to go fishing and sunbathing, such as the wharves and some breackwater rocks. Some decades ago it was necessary to prepare them for the protection from the phenomenon of the maritime erosion. For the lovers of the boat trips in deep sea and along the coast, many interesting excursions by motorship are available. They sail daily from Portoverde and from the touristic harbour of Misano. The latter, which is surely the most supplied of the Adriatic sea from the touristic point of view, is supplied by any kind of services and plants which make it a fascinating group of residential buildings. At last the climate from April to October is the ideal for all ages, with a temperature of about 30° C in July and Agoust.
